PE Chip - Stepped in today in President Kathye's absence. Service - Chip mentioned the service for Mike this past week and asked everyone to keep Susan and their family in their prayers. PE Chips announced that we donated $100 in Mike's honor to his beloved organization - Lenawee Humane Society. The Roytary Woodworking Warriors made and and gave Susan a flag box. Party at Chip & Cindy's - REMEMBER: Friday, December 10th at 6pm. Drinks furnished just bring finger food. It will be a great time - always is! If you know of a potential member you'd like to bring - please do! Thanksgiving Joint Meeting with Kiwanis - A great success! Thanks to all who turned out and especially to Rod Pender and Mark Murray who served as our finemasters! Salvation Army Bell Ringing - Thanks to everyone who weathered the fairly cold day to ring the bell for this great cause on December 3rd at Hobby Lobby. New Board Members - The club will hold voting on December 16th for those nominated to serve on the board starting next July 1 for 3-year terms. Thanks to those who will be going off for their service - Melissa Cruz, Kevin Marti and President Kathye who will, however, remain on the board as Immediate Past President. Procedure - PE Chip mentioned that Doug Herrera, Kathye's hubby, went in for a procedure and that he was doing well and to keep him in our prayers. Kiwanis Club of Blissfield - Patty shared with members details of this event - The 23rd Annual Reverse Raffle scheduled for February 5, 2022. Tickets are $50@. 1st prize - $2,500; 2nd prize - $500; 3rd prize - $250. Dinner and beverages included. Other cash prizes during the drawing. Pastor Steven Palmer, Executive Director of Neighbors of Hope, was our speaker today. He is a lifelong resident of Lenawee County having been born and raised in Tecumseh where he graduated high school. He did his undergraduate studies at Siena Heights University, earning a BA in Religious Studies. He received his Masters of Art degree from the Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary. He has been a licensed minster since 1994 and has served in pastoral ministry at two churches in Lenawee County.
