YMCA Presentation - Tim Wilson
Tim Wilson, Associate Executive Director at the Frank & Shirley Dick Family Y, was today's speaker. Here are the interesting facts he shared with bus today:
 
The YMCA was founded 1844 in London by George Williams for Bible study with refuge to migrants The YMCA of Greater Toledo of which the Frank & Shirley Duck Family Y is a branch, was founded 1865. Locally, our Y is 125+ years old.

Wreath Sales – Chair Nate encouraged us all to sell, sell, sell. We have sold far less than last year. Please post the flyer we sent on your own FB page to solicit orders. Deadline extended to October 26th.
 
Another Social Gathering – Mark your calendars for Friday, October 30 at Chip and Cindy Moore's house from 5:30pm? Libations on hand. Just bring an appetizer to pass. Wear your college gridiron colors!
 
Cleanup Project at Trestle Park - President Kathye thanked Mark & Mary and Tim who helped a week ago Saturday.
 
Packages for Vets - President Kathye reminded members of the program we have supported in the past by providing needed items to vets all over the world. Please check the list and bring the items in at our future meetings. Also remember that WLEN will sponsor their veterans program like last year where you can drop by the station and make a cash contribution on November 11. More details coming.
 
Comstock Christmas Riverwalk Project – Mark reminded members that flyers are ready and orders are being taken. Comstock Christmas Riverwalk trees are now available for purchase!  The cost for each tree is $55.00. This year marks the 8th annual Comstock Christmas Riverwalk. Civitan of Lenawee, Adrian Rotary and the City of Adrian are selling Christmas trees to local businesses, organizations, families and individuals to decorate and display in Comstock Park throughout the holiday season. A Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 7:30pm. Trees will be on display for all to enjoy from the first week of December until early January.
 
The trees includes lights.  Forms are available at City Hall. Trees may be purchased at City Hall on the first floor, or by contacting one of the following:
