TODAY'S PROGRAM

District Governor's Official Visit

Linda Morrow

It was a special day for members of the Adrian Noon Rotary Club as District Governor Linda Morrow paid he official visit yesterday to our club! There are 53 clubs withing Rotary International District 6400 and this was Linda's 52nd club to visit!

Linda was introduced by Adrian Noon Club Secretary and Assistant Governor, Rhonda Gage, who said this about her: Linda has been a member of the Windsor-Roseland Rotary Club (Canada) since 2011.  Prior to even joining Rotary Linda traveled with PDG Aruna Koushik to India as part of a National Immunization Day campaign to provide polio vaccines.  As she often says, “I went to India a curious traveller; I came back from India a Rotarian”.  In addition to traveling to India, Linda has been to Guatemala twice as part of the Guatemala Literacy Project and was also a member of the Vocational Training Team that travelled to Ghana in 2019.

Linda served as Club President in 2014-15, District Trainer in both 2016-17 and 2021-22, and was Co-chair of the Vocational Training Team Committee in 2022-23.   She has received several awards from her club including Rotarian of the Year, and was also awarded District 6400 Council of Governor’s (COG) Award.  Linda has presented at several district events, co-led a workshop at the Rotary international Convention in Toronto, and also co-authored an article for Rotary magazine.

Linda has worked in education, process improvement, and change management for more than twenty-five years. She recently retired from her position as Director, Learning and Workplace Development, at Windsor Regional Hospital.  She is also an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Windsor, and guest lecturer at St. Clair College and various organizations.  She holds two Bachelor’s degrees, a Master’s degree in Communication Studies, and a PhD in instructional design and performance improvement from Wayne State University. She is a forever proud Mom to her son, Taylor.

Linda enjoys travel, music, and exploring the possibilities. A self-professed “learning geek”, she recently started taking guitar lessons, and in her next life she wants to be a rock star.  Her lifelong commitment is to inspire and help people discover and develop their talents with a focus on service to others and building a better world.

Prior to her presentation, DG Linda met with members of the club's board of Directors to discuss things we were excited about as well as challenges. Linda emphasized the need during her presentation to members that we take every opportunity we can to speak with others aboiut the great things Rotary accomplishes in communities and around the world. She encouraged everyone to continue their generosity to the RI Foundation that aids so many great causes around the world.

She announced that the district is settingup a Speaker's Bureau allowing every club to browse the website for any number of speakers who will address our clubs throughout the year. The Adrian Noon Rotary Club is especially blessed to have member Londa Pickles call and invite speakers to every meeting! Linda also mentioned the exciting 2026 District Conference that will be held for the very first time in Frankenmuth, Michigan on May 1-3. See flyer below or visit their website at:https://rotary6400.org/2025-district-conference/

Thank you Linda for your visit and all you do for Rotary District 6400, its clubs and members!!
