UPCOMING FIRESIDE CHAT
It's been quite a while since our club conducted what Rotary refes to as a "Fireside Chat'. A Rotary fireside chat is an informal, small group orientation and social gathering for new Rotary members. Typically hosted in a member's home or a relaxed venue, it provides a casual environment to learn about Rotary's history, the club's service projects, and how to get involved.
The primary goals of a fireside chat include:
Orientation: Educating new members on Rotary traditions, values (like the Four-Way Test), and how the club operates.
Fellowship: Fostering deeper, personal relationships between newer members, club leaders, and seasoned mentors.
Feedback: Allowing club leadership to hear what local causes and projects members are most passionate about.
A firm date is yet to be determoned but it will be very soon as our club recently inducted 4 new members recently!!Mark and Mary Murray offered to host and conduct this event! More info coming.
