TODAY'S PROGRAM
Overview of By-Law Revisions

Chairman of the committee, Gerry Burg, shown sitting in the middle of the audience today, walked members through some of the more significant changes the committee made. One such change was the proposal to reduce the number of actual "directors" on the board from the current nine (9) down to six (6) based on club size.

Also on the board are: the President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer all of whom have full voting privileges as well as the President who will only vote in case of a tie vote. The Immediate Past President will have a seat on the board but without voting privileges. Therefore, the "board of directors will be comprised of the officers mentioned above along with 6 "directors" who are each elected for 3-year terms.

The other significant change is the proposal to have the entire membership vote on officers and directors. In the past, the officers had only been approved by the board. The change now proposed would allow the full membership to vote on them and the directors.

There is still a Policy section which will appear in the back of the document. We welcome any and all suggestions before the deadline date of April 26th. The board will review all of them, make their suggestions and bring them before the full membership for approval.
