Lenawee Bike Tour Update – Sponsor chair, Nate, announced that close to $20,000 has already been raised and is confident it will be closer to $21k when all is said and done! Great job Nate and everyone who helped bring money in for this event. Posters are now available. Please take one and sign up to ride!!
Global Grant Approved - Thanks to Mohinder who planted the idea originally, our club's first global grant was approved in partnership with the Delhi, India Rotary Club!! It will send $38,000 to help pay for surgeries to children there afflicted with polio. Dr. Ganesh Mani, president of their club will perform the surgeries!

Weekly Program Ideas – REMEMBER - Chair Gerry wants you to think about who you would be able to contact for a presentation at one of our weekly meetings. We are all expected to come up with one and let Gerry know. The month of August has been filled so be prepared to come up with one for September and October.
Centennial Clock Dedication – TONIGHT! AT 7PM! Be sure and be on hand as Mark Murray and his band Alia will be performing and allowed us to use their sound equipment for the event. The Mayor, Commissioners will attend.
Centennial Celebration Dinner – Mark your calendars for Thursday, September 30th to be at the Hills of Lenawee (the former Lenawee Country Club) at 5:30pm for a social gathering, dinner and program. THERE WILL BE NO REGULAR MEETING THAT DAY AT THE CENTER. The social event from 5:30-6:30pm has been totally underwritten by the Adrian Insurance Agency!! Thanks so much, Chip!! If you want, we will still be taking $50 donations to cover the cost of the 30-page Centennial Booklet and your name will appear on the back cover! It needs to go to print about September 1st. Thank you.

Wearables – Susan Tobey is contacting the source we used to have “Rotarians at Work” T-shirts made to see what the cost would be to offer another with the 100th Anniversary logo on them. More info coming.
Adrian City Band Concert – Once again, thanks to Chip and the idea he had to purchase water to sell during the last 2 Thursday evening Music in the Park concerts at the Farmer’s Market, over $600 was collected and given to support the band!! Great job, Chip. There are going to be a couple more concerts that we plan to do that at.
Another Winner - Matt Swartzlander walked home with a $20 bill from the 50/50 drawing.
